As of March 2024, all companies are now required to provide a “registered email address” when they incorporate at Companies House. This is one of a number of changes being brought in under the Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Act 2023.
Companies House have indicated that they will use this address to send email reminders as well as to query information that has been submitted to the public record.
This email address is kept private, and can be changed any time via an online filing with Companies House.
Companies who are already registered will need to report their registered email address when they file their next confirmation statement. Companies will need to start submitting this on confirmation statements dated on or after 5 March 2024.

So am I right to assume (after looking) that this cannot be changed via the 1st Formations dashboard? Any reason as to why not?
Thank you for your comment, Marty. As the requirement for a Registered Email Address is a new update from Companies House, it is, unfortunately, not possible to change it through your 1st Formations Portal at this time. We are currently working on updating our portal to accommodate this new feature.
In the meantime, you can update your Registered Email Address directly with Companies House by clicking here.
